"We have seen His glory. The glory of the one and only Son,
who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."

-John 1:14

Welcome back! We pray this letter finds you refreshed and ready to celebrate Jesus' Birthday with us! Enjoy this beautiful season, watching your child's eyes sparkle with wonder and anticipation. Slow down when you can and start some new family traditions. These moments pass far too quickly.

The Bible Verse this week will be recited at the Christmas Program, Tuesday, December 9th, 7:00 PM, so please make sure your child practices. Thanks.

You will also want to make sure to make arrangements to be at school for the Kindergarten Nativity Chapel, Friday, December 12th, 9:00 AM. Your child will dress as a character from the first Christmas, so bring your cameras and invite the relatives. It's definitely a highlight of their Kindergarten experience.

Our Field Trip to Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza to see Jim Gamble's Marionettes in The Nutcracker, Will be Monday, December 15th, departing at 8:45 and returning at approximately 11:30. Drivers are needed, but we can only accommodate 12. A sign-up sheet is on the cubbies for the first to fill up the spots. I apologize that siblings will not be able to attend, due to limited availability of seating. Kindergarten tickets have been covered by field trip funds, but drivers will have to purchase their own ticket for $9.00. Checks should be written to PVCS and in the memo, please write "Kindergarten."

On December 19th, we will have our Birthday Party for Jesus! Please consider bringing in a small stocking stuffer for each child. There are 26 children in our class. Oriental Trading Company is always a good option for small trinkets, but you'll want to order soon to receive your order in time for the party. If you are interested in helping with the party, please contact Marguerite, Carla, or Sharyl, as they are the party coordinators. Dismissal will be at 11:30 with no daycare.

Speaking of helpers, we can't begin to thank all of you enough for assisting us in the classroom. We have a lot of fun projects planned for the children and not a whole lot of time, so your help is appreciated more than you know. Please note the sign-up sheet on the cubbies if you can come in to help these next few weeks.

The letter for this week is "Ss." There are ssssssssssssso many spectacular activities to choose from for this sensational letter… starting with Suzy Seal and closing on Friday with Stone Soup. We have a wish list on the cubbies for ingredients.
