Seventh Grade News

September 2010

Welcome 7th grade students and parents! As we start this new semester of art, I hope that you will all find this to be an enjoyable time of learning and achieving. We will start the semester off by reviewing the class Rubric and creating posters "advertising" the rubrics. These will be hung in the art room when completed. Come by and see them!

Rubric:
1. Good Citizenship
2. Good Work Ethic (Effort)
3. Follow Directions
4. Achieve Desired Goals/Objectives
5. Complete Assignments On Time

These are the standards by which I will grade projects throughout the semester. Each student knows this and understands that 5 points = A on every project and so on.

 

Ongoing Projects: Introduction to class procedures and a creative rubric

Future: Explore reasons for the study of art, including taking a look at art careers and opportunities

Homework: 2 pencil sketches in the sketchbooks will be due every Thursday. .

 

REMINDER: Students are to bring their sketch books to every art class!!
